Nearly Naked Theatre presents the Arizona Premiere of THE UNDERPANTS GODOT by Duncan Pflaster. A director surreptitiously plans an avant-garde production of "Waiting for Godot," with the main characters played by hot guys in their underwear instead of old men. When a representative of the notoriously litigious estate of Samuel Beckett crashes a rehearsal to investigate and decide whether the performance should be allowed, the performers must convince her by the seat of their... underpants. This hilarious meta-theatrical piece asks us to test our limits of acceptable interpretation and adaptation of art from any era, be it Shakespeare or Tennessee Williams or the Batman franchise (Batnipples anyone?).Nominated for Outstanding Premiere of a Play by the NYIT Awards in NYC and WINNER of Best Play at the UNFringed Festival.
